Deerfield Valley Food Pantry REGULAR October distribution dates will be on: on: Thursday 11/19 from 1-3 PM, and Saturday 11/21 from 9-11 AM. We will be serving our customers via “curbside” again this month – meaning our customers should drive up to the food pantry and wait in their cars. One of our volunteers will check the customers in, and another volunteer will load groceries into the vehicle. Please help us practice “social distancing” by staying in your cars. Thank you!
THE DEERFIELD VALLEY FOOD PANTRY serves people of the Deerfield Valley who live in Dover, East Dover, Halifax, Jacksonville, Marlboro, Readsboro, Searsburg, Whitingham, and Wilmington.

EVERYONE EATS DEERFIELD VALLEY Meal Distribution
Area restaurants are working to provide nutritious prepared meals for Vermonters in need of food assistance! The program is also a way to provide a source of income for these businesses who have been negatively impacted by COVID-19, while also providing Vermont farmers and food producers an opportunity to increase sales – 10% of the ingredients are purchased from Vermont producers.
Meals available: Thursdays Nov 5 to Dec 3, 11-12 AM at the Old High School Parking lot.
PLEASE NOTE – Special Distribution Time: Thurs. Nov. 19, 1-3 PM during the Deerfield Valley Food Pantry distribution (while supplies last).
If you would like information about other opportunities to pick up meals or have them delivered if you are unable to leave the house, contact Becky Stockhaus-Arbella at Shires Housing: (774) 402-0079 or [email protected]; or for Wilmington deliveries, Meg Staloff at Wilmington Works (802)380-9417.
“Vermont Everyone Eats is funded by the federal Coronavirus Relief Fund and made possible through a grant provided by the Vermont Agency of Commerce and Community Development to Southeastern Vermont Community Action (SEVCA).”
The Vermont Foodbank may be providing boxes food at distributions held throughout the state during the coming months. Distributions are drive-through events at which you will be directed to pull up to a specific location and food items will be loaded into your vehicle. All food will be distributed while supplies last.
They are making every effort to streamline the distribution process. However, depending on turn out at each event, you may have to wait in your car. They suggest you bring water and snacks in the event there is a wait.
