The Vermont Foodbank is pleased to announce the start of a new food box program called Full Plates VT. Full Plates VT sources food through the USDA’s The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) to distribute fresh and shelf-stable food boxes at drive-through events across all fourteen counties in Vermont. This program requires households to certify they make at or below 300% the federal poverty level:

# of Persons in Household Maximum Monthly Income
1 $3,220
2 $4,355
3 $5,490
4 $6,625
5 $7,760
6 $8,895
7 $10,030
8 $11,165
Add $378.33 for each person in household over 8 persons

Due to the income requirement, each household must register for their own food box. If you aren’t able to attend the distribution in person, you can identify a proxy individual/organization to pick-up your food box. To sign-up, visit  or call the program hotline at 833-670-2254 a Vermont Foodbank employee will return your call within 48 hours.

This program is currently scheduled to run from June – September, dates will be added to the registration site in mid-May. Please continue to check back on the website, we’ll continue to add new dates to the schedule throughout the duration of the program.
